This is Frank*.

Frank has a Neko. Frank has taken a picture with Neko. The person who feed Frank, Jordan Castillo Price, sent in Frank’s pictures as a share.

However, there IS a contest going on. With $300 in prizes at stake!

If you have a Neko, I’m going to give you a couple more days to turn in your photo. I’ve been asked to extend the deadline to Nov 10. So… get your photos in.

Winners will be chosen and announced on Nov 11. I will be handing out four prizes. Three randomly chosen ($100, $50 and $50) and one for most creative ($100).

Seriously. Free money. Dudes. Send in your shots of Neko. Nov 10.

WOOOOOOOOT!

Wow. Cubs. Dudes. Wow. Woot!

I have a special love for Chicago. Weird huh? Makes no sense. I’m from Hawai‘i but there’s always been something about that city that, despite the fuckery of its underground roads with their demon summoning portal-exit ramps, I adore. Could have started with the Blues Brothers or just simply the blues itself. It’s an honest city with a bit of a sense of humour and a love of good food.

I love Chicago enough to make it the hometown of Cole McGinnis, the lead character in the Dirty Series. So if you want to take a moment to imagine what Jae’s going through right now in the McGinnis-Kim household, by all means, please do so.

So congrats to the Cubs and after such a long damned fight to get that win, Chicago really deserves a day off. Maybe even two. Or at least all the aspirin.

I’m heading to the UK in a changed world. A century-plus losing streak has ended but I am still on the road. Well on a plane, then on the road. I’ll be posting updates and probably pictures of food. We’re going to a few fairs or such but mostly it will be writing, Penn, Lea and Tamm who are beloved sisters from other mothers and a little bit of a cairn named Halle. Oh and a long-suffering Englishman named Steve who carts us around and shows us the best of pubs to eat at.

One last bit… don’t forget to vote. And eat your veggies.

Go Cubs Go! But most of all, congratulations. Now go get some sleep.

Good Morning and Happy Halloween

Just a reminder! If you went to GRL and have a Neko, your picture deadline is fast approaching! Nov 6th! I’ll be selecting the winners afterwards.

In other news, I started edits for my March book, There’s This Guy. I’ll be sharing that blurb and cover soon.

The cold I picked up at GRL is lingering but I have a few days to knock it out of my body. I get on a plane to the UK on Thursday night. It’d best be gone.

Colds make it hard to write so my brain’s just been mush for the past two weeks. Nothing done on the MS but ah, today! TODAY I shall rise again.

Morning started off with coffee and well, more coffee.

Tonight we’ll be handing out candy and mini plush animals for Halloween. We get a good amount of kids. Last year we almost ran out of candy. I probably should go get some back up.

So the question of the day… what was your favourite Halloween costume or if you don’t celebrate Halloween, what would you want to dress up as?

GRL Neko Reminder!

Remember! You only have until November 5th to get me your picture of Neko in order to be entered! Have fun. Be creative. Send in your photos! And share them! Post them on Facebook or Twitter and tag me. Just….have fun.

Here we have a non-entry sent to me by Christine Wright. Hope to see yours soon!

OOOOOhhhhh Greg and Mad Lizards

MadLizard_Tour_banner

Got my copy of Mad Lizard Mambo. I am so excited about Greg keeping me company on my way to the UK. Or this weekend. Between him and Tristan James doing Absinthe, my Audible library is pretty happy.

And of course, I’ve got Hanging The Stars coming up in a couple of months.

Blergh. Or Why Am I Sick?

Definitely caught something in Kansas City. So it’s a bit watery to breathe through but doing okay. I definitely need some sleep.

I’m at the point in the year where I’m looking forward into my schedule and trying to figure out what to write. The problem is… I only produce 4 books a year. So that means there’s a wait in between series’ releases.

So let’s have a serious book discussion. I’m going to mirror this discussion in a couple of groups. And there’s no wrong answer to this question….

If you had to do my schedule, what books would you like to see and why?

Let’s discuss. 😀 Insight is good.

Mad Lizard Mambo now on Audible! And Amazon Audiobooks!

Look what’s up on Audible! Mad Lizard Mambo as narrated by the fantastic Greg Tremblay
Kai Gracen has no intention of being anyone’s pawn. A pity Fate and SoCalGov have a different opinion on the matter.
Licensed Stalkers make their living hunting down monsters and dangerous criminals, and their lives are usually brief, brutal, and thankless. Despite being elfin and cursed with a nearly immortal lifespan, Kai didn’t expect to be any different.
Then Ryder, the High Lord of the Southern Rise Court, arrived in San Diego, and Kai’s not-so-mundane life went from mild mayhem to full-throttle chaos.
Now an official liaison between the growing Sidhe Court and the human populace, Kai is at Ryder’s beck and call for anything a High Lord might need a Stalker to do. Unfortunately for Kai, this means chasing down a flimsy rumor about an ancient lost Court somewhere in the Nevada desert – a court with powerful magics that might save Ryder’s – and Kai’s – people from becoming a bloody memory in their Merged world’s violent history.
The race for the elfin people’s salvation opens unwelcome windows into Kai’s murky past, and it could also slam the door on any future he might have with his own kind and Ryder.

Morning!

I’m not dead.

Promise.

Finishing up GayRomLit in a few hours. I’ll scrounge for photos from other people like the magpie I am. It’s been fantastic seeing Greg, who truly is the brother-symbiote I apparently have out in the world.

There was a shit ton of whiskey. And not enough sleep.

But that’s kind of what GRL is about. Well, maybe not the whiskey part but definitely the no sleeping bit.

Got to talk to and listen to a lot of new authors and new-to-me readers. Which REALLY what GRL is about.

It’s also mostly about coming to that family reunion with relatives you didn’t know you had. So… as I pack up the final pieces of my long weekend, I hope you find the rest of this week a fantastic experience.

And I’m going to try to catch up on my sleep.
