Dirty_Laundry_Rhys_FordThe results are in. Most of you said you’d want an excerpt while a few of you said you wanted nekkid men. Um… since it wasn’t a large percentage, I’ll give you a mostly nekkid guy at the end of the excerpt.

Please keep in mind, this has not been wrung through the washer and dryer nor any formal editing.

I also haven’t had a lot of coffee yet this morning, as evidenced by my almost posting an excerpt of Whiskey and Wry here without even thinking about it since that’s what I’m working on.

As far as I know, this will not be the last Cole and Jae book. I have Dirty Deeds scheduled after it. *grins* And maybe one more. Oh, and Bobby’s book but oh, that’s a bit aways. You do meet Bobby’s “person of interest” in Dirty Laundry, though. But I’m not telling you which one. There are several possibilities.

And no, one of them isn’t Jae.

I’ve been listening to this group…and a few others…while writing Whiskey and Wry. If you’ve not heard them, take a listen. These are acoustic sets of their songs but it’s pretty close to the actual “album” version, which are slightly richer.

Still. Love this band.

 

Golden Curry

I can go into how to make a curry and corn starch mixture but really when it all comes down to it, I suggest just getting a package of Golden Curry.

Why? Because it comes in different heat levels and you can control it as you need it. Get a jar of green curry…Madras curry is fine… so you can add more of a curry punch to the stew if you want.

If you really wanna know how to mix your curry, sadly… I have to teach you in person. A lot of it is taste, mix then taste. Then simmer.

Oh, I do add a dash or seven of Siracha to my curry because when it’s all said and done, that vinegar/pepper heat is lovely.

Japanese beef curry and rice. Now I’m not one for Indian curries. I like some of the greens. And some Thai curries but really, my hands-down favourite is Japanese curry. It’s what I grew up with and well, it’s like homemade chicken soup or mac/cheese…comfort food at its finest. Well in our house anyway. *grins*

I actually don’t have enough stars for this book or this author’s talent. If you’re going to buy one book this month… quarter…year… it would be this one. Seriously, fantastic writing, tight plot and great world building.

I can’t endorse this book enough. Well I could but I’ve got to sleep at some point.

Read the blurb, buy the book and then go head over to another Hawk book, Hainted, which I just started last night. Also a fricking incredible read.

Absolutely GORGEOUS writing. Author’s now on my autobuy list.
