Well, long story short… last Friday I ended up in the ER with a swollen face and was admitted to the hospital for MRSA and another resistant infection name I can’t recall off the top of my head. I came home today, ate some food and crashed.
Seriously, I’m begining to think I need my own room or something there. Or at least tattoo my vitals QR code to my wrist.
I’ve got a lot to catch up on, including what I was writing. Hope you all are doing well and if you’re in the rainy weather like I am, you’re staying dry.
This is so interesting. Would you trust an AI app to tell you what to cook?
I wanted you all to see this because it’s really damned cool. I can’t even imagine owning something as delicate as this, especially with the maniac cats I have but isn’t this awesome?
It’s been a long week for the Borking Potato. He went into the vet for an emergency visit because he had an ear / eye infection flare up along with his allergies. A shot or two later and a bunch of meds, he came home and we began to get him to feeling better.
His Auntie Paige is on a trip but he did have his Auntie Abby drag him into the tub for a good scrub today. Despite getting treats (and well ear meds) he sulked in the guest room on his bed there the rest of the day.
Coming out for more evening meds, the Potato chowed down on some high protein grain-free dog food and then crashed for a nap.
AND SNORE!
He actually just woke himself up by snoring and accusingly eyed us as if we did it. His Auntie Abby also washed his bed so it’s all fluffed up and he’s pushed it halfway off the memory foam when he snorkled around to get comfortable.
It’s hard to be a Potato.
Now to be fair, this is actually a take on something Hawai’i-local Portuguese make but with watercress or kale. But collard greens is called Portuguese cabbage in Hawai’i and well, that’s what I know it as.

So yeah. It’s been day I dunno how many since I tested positive for it. Not quite a week. Hardest part about it other than the joint aches and coughing fits is staying awake.
That being said….
Today’s Lunch: Spicy ahi poke, sushi rice, and greens.

Today’s Borking Report!
It is a fine morning for Borking Potatoes, the sun wasn’t out when he left but showed some promise of appearing on the way back. Or at least we could tell he was on his way back. He will get his first Friday bork this week and then there will be a pause while I go to GRL and Auntie Paige goes to Portugal, which humourous because well, that is one of the lands of my people. And she’s headed to the right cities to visit my relatives. Well, except for my grandfather’s family on the Southern point but it’ll do 😀
Gus was VERY excited to head out today and for once, it wasn’t me holding him up but instead Andi and Paige were chatting. There was a bit of scolding done and out they went. He’s good for about 30 seconds of talking when he’s about to go on a bork but that’s his limit. After that, his opinion is made known and the door is expected to open so he can make his rounds.
He came back so happy and a bit tired but he rolled around and frolicked while we all talked. Now, he’s asleep in his bed and his cat is lounging in front of the back screen door… so all is right in the world of the Potato.
From his Auntie Paige:
Gus had a mighty Bork at any and all passerbys. The first person we saw with several dogs seemed to know Gus and said hello from across the street, and Gus borked in reply.
Thank you so much!
Best, Paige
