Ink and Threads • 415 Ink Tattoo Stories PDF Available!

I’m going to throw this up here for right now and amend the website in a bit. There’s just a lot going on but I wanted to get this out there for the people who’d wanted it.

These are the stories from the 415 Ink: Rebel Blog Tour put in one PDF. I didn’t fine tooth edit it yet but I’ve got to finish Savior first. I’ll amend the final PDF that will go up on the 415 Ink menu page when I’ve got a chance but for right now, here is the whole piece.

Once Upon A Time, There Was A Wolf….

Gibson Keller’s days are fairly routine: wake up early, get some work done, drink lots of coffee, and take care of Ellis, his older brother stuck in wolf form after coming home from the war. It’s a simple life made up of long runs on two legs—or four—and quiet evenings…. Until Ellis chases a handsome man off a cliff and into the frozen waters beside their cabin, changing Gibson’s life forever.

For Zach Thomas, buying an old B&B is a new start. Leaving behind his city life, he longs to find peace and quiet, and hiking the trails behind his property seems safe enough—right up to the moment an enormous black wolf chases him into a lake, nearly drowning him. Discovering werewolves are real astounds him, but not as much as the man who rescues him from the icy water then walks into Zach’s heart as if he owns it.

Loving a werewolf—loving Gibson with all his secrets—has its challenges but Zach believes their love is worth fighting for, especially since his heart knows the big bad wolf is really a prince in disguise.

Surgery, Words, New Book, Snoring Dog

To give a quick update… I’ve been both busy and distracted.

This past week has been a rollercoaster of pain, red tape and a few fantastic people who made it possible for me to get in to see dentists and specialists because I had a tooth break, got an infection and all the holy hell that goes with that. Like I chipmunked in a couple of days. So on antibiotics and then surgery coming up on Weds.

Sadly, it’s very painful and a bitch to even think past… is that my car over there in the parking space? They gave me pain meds but those have to be spaced out. And oddly enough, isn’t touching a damned thing this morning. So… there’s that.

STILL…. Once Upon A Wolf is coming out on the 16th! And there’s going to be a short blog tour for the short, sweet shifter book. Yes, sweet. I swear to God… it’s sweet. 😀 The stories will all interconnect with one another and I hope to string them together into a paperback at some point.

Oh…and the snoring dog? He’s on the couch because the cat refuses to share the dog bed. It’s his dog bed. He stood by it and looked up at me, beseechingly. She could give no fucks. So… I told him he could crash on the couch next to me.

Now he’s snoring.

Once Upon A Wolf is now up for pre-order on Amazon!

It is now Tuesday…

Rough weekend. Actually rough couple of weeks. Hard chapters to write and well, it does things to the brain. Coupled with the edges of either a sinus infection or the flu circling around me, I’m tired and brain-worn.

It’s been months since HarleyDoodle came into the household and Yoshi is still not all that keen on the kitten. Who is now probably half again as big as Yoshi.

WriterCat Yoshi however makes up for it in pure grit and foul attitude.

So, hopefully they’ll coexist. Hissing is down to a minimum. And they can share a couch / bed if they ignore one another.

The dog is still scared shitless of both of them and is confused as to why Harley keeps attacking him. SHE thinks it is playing because he has a built in cat toy on his ass. He is less than convinced of her good intentions.

Let’s see. I have a novella Once Upon A Wolf dropping in a couple of weeks. It’s kind of a part of an entire serialized thing. We’ll see how it works. The biggest problem with writing a connected story in small bits is they are smaller stories and you need all the bits. So, it’s a matter of people trusting the writer. We’ll see how that pans out. 😀 But regardless, I liked it. It’s sugary.

Which is good because my next two books after that were NOTHING sweet and sugary. Sure, some sweet moments but pretty much in for the haul.

Sin and Tonic is only a few months off and I’m halfway into 415 Ink: Savior and heading into the HEA. There’s that tipping point in the book when you’ve reached the deepest level of the write and it is time to pull it back up. I’m there.

Kind of like mowing a hilly lawn.

I have to finalize out the Kai plot stuff. There’s… so much stuff I want to do but let’s face it, I can’t do it all in one book.  There is a lot going on in Kai’s world and I just have to figure out what direction I want to go in first.

And coffee. All the coffee.

Saturday!

Well, today is a day of writing, coffee and telling the cat not to shove her chin against the laptop screen because she’ll push it back and break it.

It’s also Greg Tremblay’s birthday! So if you see him around, wish him a merry Cake Day and celebrate his existence. God knows, I do.

Coffee has been made and I’m heading back into 415 Ink: Savior. I’d love to get the cat off of the laptop’s table which is apparently wide enough for a laptop and a cat ass but sadly, the cat ass is heavy enough to push down the table in a very slow descent so I don’t realize it’s dropped a few inches until my shoulders begin hurting. It’s a constant thing. Remove cat. Cat returns as I write. Remove cat. Get caught up in writing, cat ass returns and sits on the Q side of the keyboard. Endless struggle. Said cat ass is about 9 pounds so she’s a bit of a drag on the table.

I’m not even sure why she sits there. NEXT to me is warmer and she’s more likely to be scritched.

New Cat HarleyDoodle is settling in. She and YoshiCat are still figuring out their relationship. They both want to play but well, they’re also both thugs we’d brought in off the street so there’s a bit of Sharks and Jets to the whole thing. Hopefully they’ll figure it out. It’s not a fighting per se but more of a hiss WTF?

The dog is scared of both of them and works to get out of their way. HarleyDoodle leaps on him and attacks his tail and YoshiCat swings by to beat him about the head for shits and giggles.

Okay… coffee and words. I have a snoring dog keeping me company today.

Brief Rundown of LA and Rebel News!

So I owe the blog a really long post about hitting Los Angeles with Greg Tremblay and well… sheesh, everything we did. And everyone we met up with.

I want to say thank you to everyone who came out for the Reader Dinner on Friday! It was awesome! Fabulous time and god, all the food. Seriously, all the food. I’ll post pictures of food at the end. Or in the middle. Or something.

Dragging Greg around Los Angeles was fun and we did a Pendle Run so he could see where dragons were born. The Firebird is great to take on long drives and with some good music, life’s even better.

We met up with Tristan James for drinks at the Normandie Club and chatted about projects. And then went to leave but only to hook up with another narrator, Amy Landon, at a restaurant on the corner where we did a quick bites and chat.

Most of the LA trip was kind of strolling around and kicking back. Our last dinner was at Sushi Enya, which is a place I highly recommend if you want great, pretty affordable sushi. We didn’t take pix at Enya mostly because… it was kind of just a dinner of talking and well, damn fine fish and beer.

In other news, I’m officially announcing Tristan James will be narrating the 415 Ink series and he’s started on the read of Rebel.

And man, I need more sleep and coffee. But… I’ve got Savior on deck then Kai 3 is right after!
