WOOOOOT TJ and Eric’s House!

Eric and I spent all day making plans for our new house. What we are going to keep. What we are going to change. When it is acceptable to start decorating for Christmas this year since the last one was taken from us (I said July, he said maybe August. I count that as a win). Today was a good day.

WOOOT! TJ and Eric Update

Saying goodnight to Eric to head back to the hotel when I get an email notification on my phone. I glanced down at it and saw the words “OFFER ACCEPTED! CONGRATS!” I thought it was spam. Then I remembered I was buying a house.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Eric smile as big as he did when I read him the email.

One step closer…

We Said Goodbye to A Friend Today

My Old Man Dog Jax passed away today while I was driving up to Palm Springs. My sister found him in my bed, snuggled up into my pillows. He’d passed in his sleep which is exactly how I’d want him to go on. He was comfortable and happy. I’d spent an hour with him this morning before I headed up scritching him and he’d had a really good day.

He was quite old. And he’d been a rescue who’d had a horrible life before he moved in with us. After that, it was all cookies, sweaters when it was cold and memory foam mattresses to sleep on. And sunbeams. Food whenever he wanted it and all the clean water he could have. As well as a few beef bones now and then. He had dog brothers to play with and a couple of cats he could roomba into since he’d gone blind. Personally I think he was faking it more than a few times just so he could bump into the cats.

I’m okay. Everyone’s fine. When I’d left him he’d been snoring, in a sunbeam and happy. He had that life for more than fifteen years. And he was a good dog.

TJ and Eric Update!

So….

Put in an offer on a house today. I’m hoping it goes through because it’ll be a great home for us.

Flight out to Cincinnati again tomorrow for the first time in three weeks. I have been counting down the days until I see him again.

And…

If all goes well, it looks like Eric will get released from the hospital some time next week. Three months later and he is going home. We can finally start putting the pieces of our lives back together. I can’t wait to see what shape those pieces make.

Dirty Deeds by Rhys Ford (Book 4 in the Cole McGinnis Series)

Coming MARCH 28, 2014 from Dreamspinner Press

Sheila Pinelli needed to be taken out.

Former cop turned private investigator Cole McGinnis never considered committing murder. But six months ago, when Jae-Min’s blood filled his hands and death came knocking at his lover’s door,  killing Sheila Pinelli became a definite possibility.

While Sheila lurks in some hidden corner of Los Angeles, Jae and Cole share a bed, a home, and most of all, happiness. They’d survived Jae’s traditional Korean family disowning him and plan on building a new life—preferably one without the threat of Sheila’s return hanging over them.

Thanks to the Santa Monica police mistakenly releasing Sheila following a loitering arrest, Cole finally gets a lead on Sheila’s whereabouts. That is, until the trail goes crazy and he’s thrown into a tangle of drugs, exotic women, and more death. Regardless of the case going sideways, Cole is determined to find the woman he once loved as a sister and get her out of their lives once and for all.

Smile from Eric

Tj Klune added a new photo: “That smile is enough to light up the whole world. My love, Eric and his brother. Show him how much we all are rooting for him. He is everything.”
