Former LAPD detective Cole McGinnis’s life nearly ended the day his police partner and best friend Ben Pirelli emptied his service weapon into Cole and his then-lover, Rick. Since Ben turned his gun on himself, Cole thought he’d never find out why Ben tried to destroy him.

Years later, Cole has stitched himself back together. Now a private investigator and in love with Jae-Min Kim, a Korean-American photographer he met on a previous case, Cole’s life is back on track—until he discovers Jeff Rollins, a disgraced cop and his first partner, has resurfaced and appears to be working on the wrong side of the law.

As much as Cole’s fought to put the past behind him, he’s soon tangled up in a web of lies, violence, and death. Jeff Rollins is not only trying to kill Cole’s loved ones, he is also scraping open old wounds and long-forgotten memories of the two men Cole loved and lost. Cole is sure Rollins knows why Ben ruined all their lives, but he isn’t looking for answers. Now Cole is caught in a cat-and-mouse game with a cold-blooded killer with the key to not only his past but his future.

I love the excerpt, but trust Cole to start with a fight! Absolutely Can’t Wait for this book/audio to be out. Except ….. The it will be the end😢.

    So good 😀

Can I just ask? Did you preplan Ichi and Bobby’s romance, or did it just happen as you were writing? Just interested to know. Ta x

    1. Bobby and Ichi just sort of happened. Ichi isn’t even how he’s supposed to be. He was supposed to be more like Mike then well, I started writing and that all went to the wayside 😀

So glad. They’re perfect as a couple, and i loved their book. I’m not sure I’d have been able to cope with two mikes – as adorable as he is 😉

  3. Oh the voice! The tease! It’s only the first day and I’m already anxious! Guess that means you’ve done a great job, Rhys! 🙂

Just read the blurb @ Boy meets Boy. . .fantastic! You are totally awesome. To second someone else’s comment, I didn’t even realize that what I was missing was Jae’s POV. Can’t wait for the others!!!

Squeeeeee!!!! I can’t wait! And I can’t believe it’s almost over. I found this series very early in my first foray into this genre, and it is, and will always be one of my top 3 favorites. I’m excited to finally find out all the secrets, but what a bittersweet ending. I feel like very dear friends have just told me they’re moving away. I’ll still visit them from time to time, but it will never be the same, *sniff*
