Aiming To Misbehave

Can I be honest? I’m aimin’ to misbehave and if this counts as an author behaving badly, then I shall wear it with pride.

Sometimes I want to tell the trolls who seek out authors’ books and one star everything to just fuck off. There are people I know who worked hard on their books and they don’t deserve your crap. Go masturbate in the closet like the rest of the pervs.

Really. Some people’s children.

*hugs some of my fellow authors* You’ve done a hell of a lot getting that book to where it is. Don’t let someone take that from you because they’re an asshat. *hugs*

Brilliant! And good for you for standing up for those passionate and brave enough to put their characters and stories out there. I see that crap out on Goodreads frequently. It makes me hurt for the author and really pisses me off.

Their life must be so boring if they one star thousands of books. It’s like they’re camping all day. And they have a perv face because they’re enjoying themselves in that weird kind of way on the internet. Hatin’ all the books, even the unpublished ones, tch.

Hear, hear! “Stick and stones may hurt my bones but words can never hurt me.” is utter bullshit! I just don’t understand people that have to be hurtful, I really really don’t get it.

I read so many books and some I love, some I like and some I might have wished I didn’t read, but they all have something in common – they are all waaayyyy better than anything I could have come up with. ๐Ÿ™‚ I appreciate every effort that authors put forth to entertain the likes of me. All I have to say is Thank You and keep up the good work!

If an author is brave and kind enough to share their work with us, then kudos to them I NEVER bother reading reviews on websites – I read about the book and if I choose it and it turns out to be an average kind of read, so what? Ignore these idiots – they obviously don’t have a creative bone in their body if they spend their time “one starring” books. Beyond contempt ! Huge HUGS to you and all authors who take us to places we have never been and give us characters who make us laugh and cry and sweep us away from our every day lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you

    1. It makes me angry to see that for an author’s first book. Really. *nods* I just wanna fling mashed potatoes at that person ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. *Rhys drops mic on stage* ๐Ÿ™‚ good on you!

I know every 1 star I get on my works gives me a pang… and it’s absurd when way more people like us than don’t … but. It’s hard.

Personally, I cannot imagine giving a 1 star to much of ANYTHING. There’s NOTHING redeeming about it? At all? Seriously? Hard to imagine.

Yes, when you put your work out in public, you need to develop a thick skin… but more than that? People really could stand with being just BIT nicer.

    1. They do. And I’m VERY protective of my narrators. I’ll be happy to shiv a bitch if they look at you wrong *nods*

My skin’s pretty okay. But yes, nicer wouldn’t hurt *grins*
