About House of Pain
Episode 2 of There Was a House saga, a continuing story of revenge and redemption. The need for revenge boils in Phoenix’s veins. It’s been over a year since Antoine Chevalier abducted her, with the intent of prostituting her at Rêve, his illegal brothel in New Orleans. At least she has convinced him of her love and loyalty, becoming his lover and house manager instead of one of the whores. Still, she won’t rest until Antoine, his house, and his sickest customers are destroyed. Jamie has his own issues to worry about.

abercrombie-wrestling-kissDumped off and abandoned at Rêve by his homophobic father, he either has to allow himself to be prostituted or be sold off to be used on the streets of a city like New York, where he’d end up whoring anyway. If he and Phoenix can convince Antoine there’s money to be made by having him available, Jamie will do everything in his power to stay where it’s much safer.

He’ll make damn sure to play the role of flaming queen to the hilt. With his delicate Peter Pan looks, who would expect much else? There’s no need to show the real person behind the facade. Not until he knows for sure how deeply he can trust Phoenix.

Jamie is the wildcard, Phoenix is sure of it. Somehow he’ll be integral in taking Antoine down—and who would suspect such a sweet looking pretty boy?

Phoenix is right. Jamie’s unknown skills, her cunning, and their combined hatred would be unstoppable.

If only opportunity would present itself.

**Content Warning: This book is a drama meant for those over 18 and contains explicit scenes. Therefore, it contains adult themes and scenes which deal with a difficult topic.

And now, a NSFW excerpt from House of Pain

Antoine drew in a sharp breath when Jamie followed Phoenix back into the room. She gave the boy’s shoulders a squeeze before stepping to the side. There was no doubt about it. The boy was, as Phoenix had alluded to, stunning. There was no other word for him, really. He had an eerie, surreal quality about him, almost as if he wasn’t from this world.

It was the eyes. Those brilliant eyes were a shade of blue Antoine had never seen on anyone before.  As he stared into those eyes, Phoenix said, “No, they aren’t contacts. I thought so, too.”

Frowning, he nodded. Almost as if under a spell, Antoine reached out and touched Jamie’s hair—that fabulous head of hair, which was a kaleidoscope of blond shades. Additionally, it was cut in a shaggy, pixie style, looking tousled from bed, yet his eyes were vivid.

Just fucked. The boy looked like he had just been fucked, then kicked out of bed to go answer the door. Yes, screwed was exactly how he looked, especially with those bow-like dark pink lips. His sexy mouth announced that whoever had done the deed hopefully was lucky enough to have had those very lips wrapped around their cock. Still, Antoine remained silent.

7dff41b41059973db0a218d5c3d3677dAlthough the boy was shaking, he admired the proud way the kid held himself, the almost arrogant way Jamie met his gaze, while seeming to say: I’m gorgeous, aren’t I? I’m gorgeous, and I bet you wish you were gay.

And, by God, if the boy was thinking such thoughts, he would be correct. To experience such a delectable delight would be heaven—if he could have gotten past the fact Jamie had balls and a dick. Unfortunately, Antoine couldn’t. At least, he’d thought he couldn’t; but, damn it, he was getting hard.

Jamie glanced down. A knowing smile crept across his lips. Arching a delicate brow, he returned his eyes to Antoine’s, challenging him, refusing to look away. You want me. You know you do. So will many others. Are you going to keep me and make money off it, or are you going to throw the chance away?

Antoine blushed, and busied himself at looking at the rest of Jamie’s physical being. Delicate bone structure, about five foot five. Still, he was young. He may grow taller. It wouldn’t matter. No matter how old the boy got, he would still look like…well…like the guy who flew around in children’s fairy tales. Peter Pan. That was it! The boy looked like Peter Pan. He chuckled.

“Yeah, I look like fucking Peter Pan.” Jamie sighed. “Tell me something new. It’s almost too corny to be true.” He sighed again, putting his hands on his hips. “Most people don’t stop to realize Peter Pan wasn’t a fairy. Tinkerbelle was the fairy. A girl fairy. He flew around, though. So, whatever. A fairy. An elf. Who knows? The point is I look like him. Disney should pay me royalties.”

Antoine laughed out loud in spite of himself. The kid was likable, even if he tried to act tough. There was no way in the world a male with his looks could ever pull off “tough” convincingly. “Well, perhaps you can make enough money here to make you forget about those missed royalties.” He sobered up. “But, here’s the million dollar question: does a kid like you know how to suck cock?”

It was Jamie’s turn to laugh out loud. Antoine noticed how sensual the sound was. “Can I suck cock? Mister, can you imagine a male alive who doesn’t instinctively know what feels good to a cock?”

Antoine smiled. “Ah, but most are not inclined to put the knowledge into action. Therefore, they would be clumsy and uptight about it, spoiling the experience.”

Jamie’s brows shot up again. “Do I look uptight about sucking cock to you?” He waited a few seconds. “No? Well, imagine that! A gorgeous boy—who happens to look like a gay man’s wet dream come true—knowing how to blow dick! Of course I know how to suck cock. Do you?”

“Hey, listen here. I don’t take backtalk from whores. Another comment like that will get you a fist in the gut and a boot out the door. Understand?”

“I don’t think you understood me. I wasn’t being rude. I’m simply saying, if you yourself don’t know how to give good head, how can you judge if I’m capable?” He placed a delicate pointer finger on his lower lip. “Hey! I know! I could do yours. I bet, straight as you are, I could get you to paradise in less than five minutes.” His eyes held Antoine’s captive. “Wanna see me try?”

Damn. Antoine could feel his cock, swollen and begging, quivering for the chance to be inhaled by Jamie’s pixie mouth. Worse, he realized both Phoenix and Jamie knew it. His face flamed a bright scarlet.

“That won’t be necessary.”

Jamie smirked. “All the same, it seems part of you disagrees. After all, how can you hire me, if you don’t know my skills?” He sank to his knees in front of Antoine. “Just relax and close your eyes, straight guy. I’m told most of you can turn gay in a heartbeat if the lights are off and the lips are right, anyway.”

Antoine’s mind wanted him to push the boy away, maintain his sense of manliness. His body had other intentions, and those intentions were now strong enough to ensure he remained rooted to the spot. Helpless, legs shaking, Antoine found he couldn’t even answer.

Jamie unzipped him.

The boy had been right. He came in less than five minutes.
