Tonight’s Dinner: Southern-ish

Tonight’s dinner: poached garlic tilapia, fried green tomatoes (first attempt on these) and rice. Remoulade is mayo, hot sauce, garlic. Tomatoes provided by Felix Duarte.

    1. It’s pretty much slice them up. But let them sit for a bit and pat them dry. salt/pepper and spice them. dip in egg or something wet. I used greek yogurt and water mixed together. dip in cornmeal (add garlic and cajun pepper, salt) to the cornmeal. Fry in hot oil. Watch them though cause they can burn.

      serve with a mayo/hot sauce mixture. remoulade can pretty much be a lot of different things. garlic, lemon, spices in mayo or you can even use blue cheese dressing or ranch ๐Ÿ˜€

    Well we have frozen tomatoes around these parts! Sure wish I had some of those fried green ones right now ๐Ÿ˜‰
