This cold / flu…. whatever it is… is kicking my ass. I have a fight scene I want to expand in Dim Sum and I’ve just refilled my coffee. I am armed with pretzel sticks and the dog has a Kong ball full of peanut butter.
I am going in.
Whatcha all up to this weekend?
I have to take my cats to the vet for shots. Will probably spend the rest so the weekend making it up to them…
This weekend I’m cheering my daughter’s soccer team on. They just won match one of two today in the last 3 minutes of regulation play at the presidents day tournament in Jupiter, FL. Half the team showed up sniffling and on cold meds. It’s 80 degrees outside and I’m staying out of sneeze range while reading Hanging the Stars. Perfect start to a perfect weeked with the family! 😎
Reading “The Death Of Israel Leventhal” by Boom Baumgartner. Vey interesting gravediggers and the “void”.
Dealing with a cranky neck and shoulders. Listening to “Best of Prince”. Doing some laundry and writing and playing Guild Wars 2. Maybe a run to the store for cookie dough ice cream.
So far I’ve avoided the creeping crud so I’m off to the farmers market, dodging raindrops, then home to read while my slow cooker makes soup. I hope you’re better soon. I strongly advocate hot alcohol toddies for whatever ails you.
Enjoying temps near 70!!! In February!!! <3
I’m pretty much in the same boat as you, sick and miserable. I’m missing out on a hockey games with friends and possibly dinner with some authors. I hate cold season
Going shopping at the local outlet mall. While its in the mid-60s. In northwest Indiana. In February.
I’m right there with you..a surprise cold has knocked me on my ass. So today was a straight up messy hair and pj day. I wallowed in bed with a book or two, comfort food, and a bit of snoozing. Tomorrow is the adulting day… grocery shopping, etc.
Recovered from flu(mild) and cough, caught great new show “The Good Fight”, worth a look; kind of spin off from “The Good Wife.” Full of fire and mostly WOMEN.
Just got back from RadCon (local SciFi Con) and slept 11 1/2 hours straight.
