Blergh. Or Why Am I Sick?

Definitely caught something in Kansas City. So it’s a bit watery to breathe through but doing okay. I definitely need some sleep.

I’m at the point in the year where I’m looking forward into my schedule and trying to figure out what to write. The problem is… I only produce 4 books a year. So that means there’s a wait in between series’ releases.

So let’s have a serious book discussion. I’m going to mirror this discussion in a couple of groups. And there’s no wrong answer to this question….

If you had to do my schedule, what books would you like to see and why?

Let’s discuss. πŸ˜€ Insight is good.

Anything Sinners (I want to know what happens to Miki, Kane etc). Next book in Hellsingers (love this series). Jae and Cole’ wedding????? (If it’s gonna happen). Murder and Mayhem second in series. I absolutely love all of your murder/mystery/suspense books. In fact, I like everything you write, but these are my favourites.

  2. Tickled pink Sinners and Murder are on the list. While I agree you need to write the book pestering the daylights out of you, I’d love to read the third Kai book.

Is the Dim Sum Asylum on your list? Loved it.

Long and short, write what you want, I’ll buy it.

    Feel better soon.

Would focus on Hellsingers and Kai. Absolutely adore Sinners, but since I don’t want it to end, I’m OK with a delay:). So one Hellsingers, one Kai, one Murder and Mayhem, one Ink and Shadows.

Unless you want to add another Cole and Jae – then scrap my list and start there!

    1. I&S needs a bigger story. I don’t have one just yet but all of the others are there. Not Cole and Jae. They’re on vacation someplace with the dog πŸ˜€ Neko is being spoiled by Ichi and Bobby πŸ˜€

Now don’t hate me, but I think sinners and cole/jae are both in a good spot. I’d need another kai and another murder / mayhem. Otherwise, maybe something new, since half moon has something in December. That being said, I must you to be awesome.

    1. Well there’s one final Sinners and that’s it. Cole/Jae series is done. So no more of those πŸ˜€ There’s new in March πŸ˜€

hellslinger then murder & mayhem (since half moon bay is coming out in dec). love the sinner’s guys but since feel they are in a good spot am not antsy over getting more of them right now, but these 3 series — want more fast! (pretty pretty please)

Definitely Sinners and Hellsinger, but I would love a stand-alone novel. A series is great but sometimes I just want to read a book from beginning to end in one or two days and know that the end is the end. That being said I would probably then be sitting there wishing there would be more.

Only four books a year…only! Wow, you are a miracle of coffee drinking, word-smithing energy. Now, Go rest and get better. Ultimately, I would like more Kai, but I’m pretty happy with whatever you put out. My all time favorite was Cole, but I’m happy with how you ended that, and the crazy world of Kai intrigues me. Just write what you like!

Did I hear “I ONLY write 4 books a year”–only???? Since I’m thinking that getting that book from your head to my hot little hands requires soooooo much more that just putting the words down, the word only must leave this whole discussion. You gift us with four books a year–which I find incredible. Thanks for asking for input though. That’s quite nice. Now the cold thing. I swear by hot almond tea with a shot or three of whiskey. Then–take NyQuil and go to bed. If you wake up, you will feel so much better. 😎

Any thoughts on expanding the Clockwork Tangerine universe? I’d love to see another story in that setting, I’m a sucker for magical steampunk.

    1. Right now no, but have you read Jordan L. Hawk’s Hexbreaker and Hexmaker? And Widdershins series? So awesome!

I might dally back into Marcus’s world at some point πŸ˜€
