I can’t imagine why anyone would have posted such a negative & plain mean view of the story? People just suck sometimes. I am glad that you did not let them stop you because no Rhys stories would have been a loss for everyone.
I loved Black Dog Blues & plan on rereading it…am very stoked to hear we get a sequel!

Soo…. squash all those people who didn’t like Kia! This was the first book I read of yours and it thoroughly hooked me on you aa a writer. Ans asuch as I totally LOVE your other books this is still my favorite. Bet I’ve read it at least 20 times! Have faith in your talent because I do. Iread at least 15 books a week from every genre amd subject. You one of favorites and one of the best story tellers. Cudos to you Rhys!!

So imagine, I had a pretty good day (any day w/o feeling crushed by depression is a great day) which began with a bit of a scare-but nothing seriously wrong. I find out that for the first time in several years I have a Full Day Off tomorrow and then I get home and read this post and it’s like the chocolate topping (not a fan of cherries) on a wonderful and yummy sundae! The cover is is gorgeous Rhys and I’m really excited about all the upcoming books. 😀

I loved black dog blues. It’s my favorite of your books and in the top 5 of my all time favorite books. I can’t wait to see where the story goes. Grats on dream spinner picking it up. 🙂

Just read your updates, and honestly can’t understand why you got negative response to Black Dog. I think you did a great job writing the story – it was entertaining and enjoyable. I thoroughly liked cranky Kai, and am happy that you’re considering another story for him.
Maybe the people who didn’t like it simply expected something different or don’t care for the urban fantasy genre. That’s the only logical explanation I can think of….
