Josh Lanyon Hits The Ground Running…And A HUGE Giveaway!

KickStartBanner

I first ran across Josh Lanyon’s Fatal Shadows in a small bookstore called Mysterious Galaxy. I picked up the book and fell in love with Josh’s first creation—Adrien English.

Now, many years later—and quite a few books as well, Josh takes us once again to places only Josh can imagine. I am thrilled to host Josh here for the Dangerous Ground Blog Tour and if you’ve never picked up a Lanyon book, do yourself a favour and grab as many as you can.

Cancel cable, tell the pool boy to put on some clothes and stock up on coffee beans and/or tea. It’s gonna be a wild ride.

      1. Yep, back in the days when you had to show up in person on Tuesdays if you wanted a new release right out of the box 😀

  1. Renee

Can’t wait to read this series – I have the first book waiting on my Kindle – I loved the Adrien English series, and everything else I’ve read of Josh Lanyon

  2. KC

I love Will and Taylor! especially Taylor, he’s so wild and cool and sweet too. And I really needed Kick Start after the wild ride (as Rhys said) of the previous books in the series. So wonderful to get to spend quality time with the guys, and i loved Bill’s character, such a quiet and strong presence; and the humor, and the sweet moments. If you’re just starting this series, i hope you have as much fun as i did 🙂

An excellent book, and good to know that more are promised in the Dangerous Ground series.

      1. calacrocata

I haven’t read it yet *shame on me* (still listening to the audio books of the previous 4 parts) but you’re making me so curious with all that talk about ‘new directions’ that I can barely keep my hands off it… 🙂

  4. Oh my God. What does it say about Word Press when a human gets the message: You are answering comments too quickly. Slow down.

How about you speed up, WordPress?!

    1. Honey, you know I’m always glad to have you over. *hands you coffee*

WordPress sometimes in like my aunt in the passenger seat when you’re going twenty in a fifteen zone! SLOW DOWN! YOU’RE GOING TO GET US ALL KILLED! LET THE TURTLE PASS US! It looks shifty. Gonna knife us if we piss it off 😀

  5. Nancy

Word Press may be slow, but the opening scene in the new book is so fast it leaves you breathless! Speeding car with bad guy driving. Will drops onto the roof in an attempt to save Taylor. Will falls off the car … my head is spinning! And now I have to work for 8 hours before I can get back to the story. ;-( I am not good at waiting.

  6. Antonella

As far as I gathered ”Kick Start” is more about the relationship, I’m looking forward to read it. This even though all other books in the series are a perfect mix of action and relationship stuff.

I can believe you are to quick for WordPress, dear Josh, because you are the quickest and most gracious answerer in the world!

Thank you for hosting the Dangerous Ground Blog Tour, Rhys!

    1. This one is definitely lighter and more playful than the others. 🙂

Thanks, Antonella. I guess I’ve frightened Word Press with my flying fingers.

  7. I remember when I first read one of Josh Lanyon’s books it was paperback and I had never heard of ebooks. The Adrien English books were one of the few gay books I could find. It is amazing how much has changed since then.

  8. I consider those who easily found Josh Lanyon’s books in paperbacks lucky! In my country we MM romance readers either have to be happy with ebook formats or ordered the paperback from faraway bookstores online.
Never stop me to read any new titles from Mr. Lanyon though. 🙂

Everytime I read one of Mr. Lanyon book I remember Rhys saying – He is a God.
And well, yes, he is. <3
I'm two chapters aways from the end of Kick Start and I don't want it to end 🙂
    Thank you Mr Lanyon.

  11. Abby

Half way through reading Kick Start and I’m really liking it.
I’ve had a love/hate (well hate is too strong a word but I was very angry at times) relationship with both Taylor and Will throughout the other books in the series and so far in this book have not wanted to either slap them or cry over them so that makes a change.

  12. Johanna

I finished the book last night! Am I tired and cranky? Yes! Was it Worth it? Yes!!!!
Loved this book. Smart, fun, and exciting! Left me wanting more! Oh, and I saw those new Japanese covers for the AE books, they are amazing!!! Thanks Josh and Rhys for sharing today!!!!

  13. Sylvia

Adrien English in a small bookstore, imagine that! I’m very much looking forward to Kick Start and Rhys, your Dirty kiss is also on my reading list 🙂

  14. I am reading Kick Start now – and loving it ♥ I honestly forgot just how much I love these guys… Tay mostly. No, Will. Aaaargh!!! I will just take both 🙂

  15. Janan

I love how so many authors have been to Adrien’s bookstore with their characters. Just proves how REAL Josh’s books are. Still need to read this series tho so winning a prize pack would be fantastic.

  16. Kirsten

My first experience with Josh was Mexican Heat. I loved the California setting– and I was very happy to find out a lot of his books take place in LA!

  17. I haven’t read Kick Start yet, but I’m really, really looking forward to it. You guys aren’t making waiting for it any easier either… LOL. After a couple of weeks I’ll have time to enjoy reading it properly though. Meanwhile I’m re-reading the series by listening to it and that’s… wonderful!!! 🙂

  18. Brenda

I just purchased and finished reading my first Josh Lanyon book last Friday, simply amazing. The title of my purchase, Dangerous Ground, talk about timing.

  19. Marti

Adrien English was my first introduction to Josh’s books. Love Jake and Adrien. Then I found Will and Taylor – maybe a cross over, Josh?? 🙂

  20. Chris

Thank you for introducing me to Josh Lanyon. Downloaded Blood Red Butterfly to see if I wanted more. YES please!!! Been up all night reading.

  21. secretobcession1

Late to the party I see. Oh well. Finished Kick Start the other day…5 Stars!! I just wanted more story at the end.

  22. Devony

    Heh…late as usual.
Just wanted to thank for the heads up on Josh Lanyon being an author to check out.
*eyes cross* Just finished Adriens’ series & I gotta say I am just not ready to say goodbye to the boys!*sniffs*….Jake finally made sense! I have to say through most of the series he was sooo hard to like & I wanted to shake them both! But by the end Jake was so easy to love;) Gonna miss the whole freakin’ cast lol
    So yep another great author;)
