Tonight’s Dinner: Beef and Bok Choy Stir Fry

Beef and baby bok choy stir fry, rice and sweet/sour daikon pickles.

The beef is leftover from a roast beef we had last night. The roast was an experiment using the Perfect Prime Rib recipe my mom got from that lady who got it from her friend back in the 70s. How’s that for convoluted.

The baby bok choy was on special at 99 Ranch. Lovely place. I highly recommend stopping by for a look-see if ever you’re in San Diego. The daikon was picked up there as well. It’s a very easy thing to make. I’m just lazy. :::Grins:::

Love the food, but the purple velvet cloth’s got me thinking “Elvira”

You kill me with your local style food teasing! I love the shoyu on the rice! Did you pickle the daikon and carrots?

    1. Nope on the daikon but I do normally make my own. You just have to salt pack it first like you’d do for Kim Chee, rinse well then add seasoned rice vinegar and some sugar. I was lazy and got some at 99 ranch. I do need to make a batch of fridge kim chee. We’re out. I make the regular cabbage, some cucumber and some jicama which I add a bit of sugar to so it comes out like takuan.

We have rice a lot. :::Grins::: We go thru a lot of shoyu too.
