Candy Dragons

There was a guy who used to do this in Little Tokyo. A long time ago. I had a dragon. Which I kept in the fridge. And my sister ate while I was out one day.

I no longer speak to this sister. Grudges. Hard hard grudges.

Curious Stuff Indeed

As I’m slogging down the hallway to the end of this book, I sometimes take some time out to breathe my brain out. Okay I do this in every book, not going to lie.

One of the sites I tend to hit up every other day or so is ListVerse. I love the tidbits of weird and lists are often a fantastic thing. I have no idea why. Just roll with it. I’m easily amused if someone tosses trivia at me.

So, I encourage you to head to ListVerse and see what’s there. I often fall down the rabbit hole…which is a horrible thing I avoid doing while writing. Horrible. *nods* (In case my editor is reading this)

So Close To A Screaming Camel

I hope to post the screaming camel of happiness sometime this week. Who would have thought I’d be so happen to see a yodeling camel?

Spring has hit San Diego. Well sort of Spring-Winter in that we get rain and then some hot days and then some cold days and then more rain. We certainly need it.

I’ll be finalizing out the London and Paris trip in March. There’s going to be a London meetup, probably near Kings Cross… okay not probably. RIGHT near Kings Cross so it’ll be easy for people to find. That date will be March 22nd and it’ll be in the early evening. Probably around 6:30 or 7. TA Moore and I will both be there as well as a few readers. If you’d like to come, please RSVP when the announcement goes out.

Then off to Paris. Much fun! *grins*

That’s pretty much my focus for the time being. That and books. What’s going on with everyone else? I’m hoping to get Dim Sum Asylum wrapped up so I can start Tramps and Thieves. Going to love writing Rook and Dante again.

Answering Questions about Salon du Livre and Book Signing

logo-livre_paris
Salon du Livre Information Regarding Dreamspinner Press Inventory and Bringing Books To Be Signed. (As of 6 Jan 2017)
1. In February, Dreamspinner Press will be doing a preorder sale for delivery in Paris (as done in the past for GRL) so people can place orders at that time for any books they absolutely must have. The sale will apply to all paperbacks regardless of language. Other than those orders, all books brought in specifically for Salon du Livre will only be in French. So, if you are attending the Salon du Livre and wish to purchase books to be picked up at the event, please watch for the sale.
2. The event HAS allowed people bring books to be signed in the past, so unless the policy has changed, that shouldn’t be a problem BUT Dreamspinner Press will reach out to clarify if there has been any changes.
Currently as DSP knows, if you are bringing in books you already own, you can show them at the door and have them marked as already purchased and bring them in.
Once again, I will be signing from 12-2 on Saturday, 25 March 2017, along with TA Moore. Charlie Cochet and others will also be attending the event. Once I get the full signing schedule I will share it. I believe Charlie Cochet is later on that afternoon.

Hawaiian Humane Society Cheers On Their Last Adoptee

*hands you tissues before the video starts*

How the Hawaiian Humane Society said farewell to the last dog adopted out in their “Clear The Shelter” Drive.

This is a no-kill shelter and every effort is made by the facilities to find every animal a loving and attentive home. Most of my animals come from shelters but I do have a purebred Cairn who was an “Unadoptable”. Yoshi, the black and white cat on my avatar, showed up on our rooftop one day and well, moved in ala Dude. I urge all of you who are considering a pet, adopt one from the animal shelter or reach out to a breed rescue. There are thousands of really good, sweet souls out there who need a good home.

And as always, help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered.

Rhys Ford at Paris Book Fair • Salon Du Livre on 25 March from 12 to 2 pm. Also London on 22 March!

logo-livre_parisIf you are able to, come see me in Paris Book Fair on Saturday, March 25 from 12 to 2 pm. I will be signing whatever people put in front of me that hopefully has my name on it. *grins* I will be joined by TA Moore. Charlie Cochet will be signing her books a little bit later that afternoon. I will share the full signing schedule once I have it.

If you can’t make Paris (although I hope someone can because God help Paris if Tamm and I left to our own devices while armed with pens), TA Moore and I will be meeting with people for coffee or perhaps dinner on March 22 in London, near the King Cross station. I’ll set up a place and time as we draw closer to the date.
